Compact, Powerful, and Portable
The CowTrac Rancher™ System comes in a compact, weather resistant NEMA4 steel enclosure powder coated for durability. The system comes standard with enough Supercord line for a 100 foot working area and quick mount pulley system. It is 10" x 8" x 6" and weighs only 24 lbs and comes with a 2 year limited warranty.
The system comes standard with Manual Controls; Power Switch, Motor Polarity Switch, Left/Right Switch and Speed Control.
True Portability
The Rancher comes standard with 120VAC/240VAC and 12VDC battery operation. The universal mounting system makes it easy to set up and take down in minutes.
Remote Control
Each Rancher comes with a lightweight 2 button remote as well as manual direction control mounted on the enclosure. The tactile switches on the remote allows you to feel the contact. It can be used on either hand or placed on the saddle horn. Flush button design eliminates unwanted operation. Adjustable Velcro band and battery are included.
Remote Controlled Record/Play Function
The real power and flexibility of the Rancher Elite™ is the Record/Play capability. With one (Elite) or four (Elite-4) memory locations this is truly a system that can provide a great training program. The non-volatile memory won't lose stored programs. The record, play pause and stop functions are all activated from the remote which can be placed on your wrist or on your saddle. The pause feature lets you "stop-the-clock" in either record or play mode. All speed settings are recorded so there is no need to remember the speed settings for each program.
Single and Dual Speed Systems available
The Rancher is available as a single speed (Rancher), dual speed (Rancher II) or Dual Speed Programmable (Elite) system.

"Ï just finished my afternoon group of horses, all of them on your CowTrac flag and remembered that I have been wanting to write this for some time. Over three decades as a trainer I have owned and used just about every form of training device to develop my cutters and cow horses; Pro Cutter, Cuttin Critter, a fake cow on a three wheeler, you name it. Your machine stands out from and above all the rest and is my choice every time a live cow won't do the job. Put simply, my horses and I work better because of CowTrac. Quiet, versatile, programmable, dependable, convenient, and your support is like none other. Your extra efforts to keep me up and running on CowTrac have been phenomenal and much appreciated. And at cuttings, where your machine is ofthem available for practice along side that of your competition I wait if necessary to use the CowTrac. Thank you for your contribution to our industry. Please add me to your list of fans and grateful endorsers."

What is Bump Technology?Bump Technology eliminates getting off your horse, changing the speed dial(s) on the system and remounting. Working with a young horse? BUMP the speed down with the "-" button. Want to speed it up for an experienced horse? BUMP it up with the "+" button. Easily set slow and fast settings across full range.
-
What is the difference between the standard flag and a long flag? The standard flag is 12" high and 22" long. The long flag is 12" high and 44" long.
-
Can Cowtrac systems be used with a battery?Yes, all Cowtrac systems operate on 120/240 VAC and 12 VDC from a deep cycle battery. The Sidekick series was designed to replace the 12 VDC operation with a snap-in 18 volt Makita LXT style tool battery.
-
Can I use a different 18 volt battery?Yes, there are adapters readily available that will allow you to connect them to the Makita adapter.
-
Can I use a solar panel to run my Cowtrac system?Yes, installing a solar panel (45 watt minimum) and charge controller connected to a deep cycle battery will allow you to run any Cowtrac system.
